E-Commerce Pioneer Andrew G. Parker to Speak at
Chicago-Kent College of Law

Mercantec President and CEO Presents the Evolution
and Future of E-commerce

CHICAGO - Tuesday, January 18, 2000 - Mercantec® Inc., a leading provider of Internet commerce software products and services, announced that its president and CEO, Andrew G. Parker, will speak on the topic of "Next Generation E-Commerce" at Chicago-Kent College of Law on January 21, 2000, between 1:00 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. He will address the needs of small- to medium-sized merchants in today's e-commerce market and the future of e-commerce. Parker will also introduce his vision for the next generation of e-commerce -- "Perpetual Commerce."

Parker has presented on various electronic commerce topics at Internet World in New York and Los Angeles. In addition, he has spoken on the topics of security and payment on the Internet for the World Trade Center Chicago Association and the Financial Security Conference of the MIS Institute.
